Stellantis Construction was appointed to transform a tired family home in Staines-upon-Thames into a bright, future-ready space. The brief combined a rear extension with a full internal refurbishment: open-plan kitchen/living, improved natural light, updated bathrooms, new flooring and joinery, and a crisp, modern finish throughout—while keeping the property liveable during key phases. A rear single-storey extension with concealed steelwork created a column-free span for the new living/dining/kitchen zone. New openings and lintels improved flow between spaces. Envelope & Light: Slimline aluminium sliders and a rooflight wash the new interior with daylight. High-performance insulation and airtightness improvements brought the refurbished areas up to modern standards. A streamlined, unfussy palette—painted walls, tiling to living areas, porcelain to wet zones, and bespoke MDF skirting/architraves for a clean architectural line. Complete rewire to current regs, new LED downlighting scheme, additional socket layout, and upgraded plumbing with efficient fixtures to kitchen and bathrooms. Seamless plaster skim, spray-finish decoration, soft-close cabinetry, stone worktops. The home now delivers a generous, light-filled social hub with clear sightlines to the garden, improved thermal comfort, and a timeless modern look. Bathrooms are fully renewed, bedrooms re-planned with better storage, and the ground floor flows effortlessly from entrance to rear terrace. The clients gained the space they needed without moving—and a finish aligned to contemporary London living.
